Positive IT Solutions were successful granted a contract from BECTA to be part of the Home Access Grant Suppliers scheme. CTRLmedia and Positive IT Solutions had worked together on many projects previously and re-ignited there working relationship to tackle the production of this large project. The initial plan was to produce a multi vendor secure shopping cart which could report sales totals for specific vendors in various locations. Furthermore the backend was designed to link with Sage 200 which in turn integrated with the logistics partner for the duration of the project. The cart also had to be supremely robust and work in conjunction with very specific payment gateways, which in turn had to be configured to accept only certain Barclaycard numbers. Consequently the server which housed the website had to be able to handle an huge amount of traffic in a small timescale. Technically the site was a triumph and worked flawlessly for the duration of the project, processing in excess of £30,000,000 of transaction during its 12 month life cycle.
